Click on the bills to learn more and please contact your legislator and ask them to vote in favor of these critical bills.

HB 622 - GREEN JOBS BONDING ACT - requests the Higher Education Department to develop a state plan to address the workforce needs of upcoming green industires. The plan shall include a structure for training programs in clean-technology industries at higher education institutions directed at target populations (low income individuals, veterans, workers affected by changing energy policy, at-risk youth, unemployed adults, single mothers, etc.).

SB 420 - SEVERANCE TAX INVESTMENT IN GREEN INDUSTRIES - would set aside $15 Million of the Severance Tax Permanent Fund for "New Mexico enterprises that provide jobs in green industries".
