Sol not Coal: Solarize Fire House #3

Santa Fe holds tremendous solar power potential that could reduce negative local impacts from fossil fuel use, create new jobs, and build enduring prosperity.
New Energy Economy is partnering with the City of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Fire Department to install a ground mounted car port solar system and a solar tracker, approximately 14 kW, with an output of 1880 kWh/m, cost of $80,000.
Locally trained solar technicians will install the solar system and the panels will be locally manufactured. This public education and awareness campaign engages the residents and businesses in our community around the important benefits solar power can deliver today and into the future. To anchor this effort, we are raising money to install this highly visible solar electric power system at Fire Station #3 on Cerrillos Rd.
Sol Not Coal
Sol Not Coal is a campaign to actualize longstanding community values to bring brighter possibilities for the health, prosperity and sustainability of Santa Fe. As the first of a series of collaborative projects, we will be installing a ground mounted carport solar system, at the Firehouse. This community scale solar electric power installation will employ locally trained installers, use locally manufactured panels, and grow community capacity. 100% of your contribution goes directly to solarizing Fire Station #3, and is tax deducible!
