Solving Global Warming

The message from scientists is clear: we must take action now to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions we produce if we are to avoid runaway climate change. In other words, if we keep increasing carbon emissions, the earth itself will make conditions not suitable for our children to live.
An immediate change to New Mexico’s climate and energy policy is required. The good news is that the challenge of reducing our emissions also offers an opportunity for innovation and prosperity that will not only protect the environment and promote national security, but also strengthen our economy and create a healthy and sustainable future for our children.
Therefore, New Energy Economy is urging the Environmental Improvement Board to:
- Limit carbon emissions at a level that science, not big business, dictates;
- Make polluters pay; and
- Protect our health and the health of the planet.
Join us in calling for reductions of greenhouse gas emissions levels recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change of at least 25% below 1990 levels by 2020 by signing New Energy Economy's Petition.
